On My Shelf (5) It's a Vlog! + Giveaway

On MySHELF highlights books I've acquired and read in the past week, as well as a little about what I'm writing, and other blog worthy news. I think it's pretty obvious where I got my inspiration for the feature from, but I will follow blog etiquette and link to Kristi (In My Mailbox @ The Story Siren), Sheila (It's Monday, What Are You Reading? @ Book Journey), and Kate (The Shelf Report @ The Neverending Shelf) anyway. ;)

Mentioned in vlog:
Interworld by Neil Gaiman & Michael Reaves
The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
Matched by Ally Condie
Nightshade by Andrea Cremer
The Eternal Ones by Kirsten Miller

Fill out the form below to enter for a chance to win a Breathless Reads poster signed by all 5 authors, as well as signed bookmarks for Nightshade and The Replacement.

Same as last week, I'm still working on characters for Baker's Dozen. Right now I'm trying to focus on four characters, and mostly working on their interests. As I mentioned in the video, the main character is a fan of Matched as well as a few other dystopians, and Catcher in the Rye.

Since I'm going to be working on character for a while, this is probably the last What I'm Writing I'll do for a few weeks. No point saying the same thing over and over. I'll post this section again when I move on to something else, like outlining.

A little more about the signing. First, it was a lot of fun! There are only two things I would have changed about it. First, that Orchid had been there, instead of home sick. Second, that I had won the raffle and got either a copy of The Eternal Ones or a bag of buttons (because I LOVE buttons and could use some more for my purse). But other than that, it was a lot of fun!
Zombie Girrrl and I sat behind Laura of Tattooed Books, so we talked a bit throughout most of the event. It was really cool meeting another blogger, though it felt so weird talking about blogging with someone other than Orchid and ZG. At one point Zombie Girrrl said something like, "Do you follow Eleni?" and I was just like o_O. Anyway, it was really cool to meet another blogger.

So, I guess that's it for this week. Thanks for reading (and watching)!

Awesome books! I really hope you like the book I helped you find. You'll have to let me know what you think of Nightshade once you get the chance to read it (I'm really surious to see what you think about it).

Aw, I really wish I had been able to go too, but thanks for the lovely card and the swag y'all brought back. ^_^

Happy reading.

I was there sitting in the front row, I hate that I missed meeting you! I actually wore a ribbon on my wrist, BUT it fell off before I even got in the bookstore and I could not find it. There were a good amount of people there and I guess I was not very observant because I did not see any ribbons! I hope that you had a great time, I know I did! Maybe we can meet up at the next signing!
